Harrison Blackledge hardly missed a shot he took and gave the Hope College men's basketball team more than enough offense to outlast Wisconsin-River Falls.

The senior forward from Canton, Ohio (Hoover HS) fueled the Flying Dutchmen's 90-81 win at the Wisconsin Stout Tournament on Saturday by scoring a career-high 34 points.

Blackledge netted 26 points during the second half alone as Hope pulled away following a 43-43 halftime score. The Flying Dutchmen improved to 2-0 overall.

Blackledge shot 83.3 percent from the field (15-of-18). He sank both of his two 3-point attempts both of his two free throws.

The 15 baskets made are the fifth-most by any Flying Dutchmen player in a game. Dan Shinabarger holds the team record of 22 from his record-setting 51-point performance against Albion in 1970.

Three Blackledge layups sparked Hope on a 9-0 run to open the second half on a 9-0 run. The Flying Dutchmen never trailed after that.

Two other Hope players scored in double figures.

Senior forward Cody Stuive of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Senior guard Chad Carlson of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford) chipped in 11 points.

Junior guard Dante Hawkins of Holland, Michigan (Holland) collected nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Hope returns to action Thanksgiving weekend when the Flying Dutchmen host the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 25-26. The field includes Aquinas, Calvin and Cornerstone. Games are 6 and 6 p.m. each night, with Hope playing at 8 p.m. both times.
