How It Happened

  • Rosemont led first half wire-to-wire, scoring first seven points of the game. A Chris Morgan trey put the Ravens up by double-figures, 16-7 with 12:09 left in the half. A three-point play from Clayton Wolfe gave the Ravens their largest lead of the game, 28-11 with 7:41 left in the half. Cabrini would rally to out-score Rosemont 27-6 to climb to within four points of the lead with the Ravens holding a 38-34 lead with 1:25 remaining in the half. The Ravens would steady as Marcus Thomas sank a jumper to put the Ravens ahead by eight points, leading 44-36 at the break.
  • The Ravens would move out to a 48-38 lead with a minute gone in the half, when Cabrini made a run to make the game close. Leading by a bucket, Cabrini's Deryl Bagwell hit from downtown with 16:39 left as the Cavaliers outscored 16-5 over the next 3:23 to grab their first lead of the game, 54-53 with more than 16 minutes left on the clock.
  • The two teams would jostle back-and-forth for the next few minutes, when the Ravens started to get some separation from Cabrini, taking a 69-64 lead after two Kyle Lafferty free throws with 10:22 left in the half. A layup from Itay Levy would give Rosemont a 72-66 lead with 9:26 left, but the Cavs would answer with five straight to trail by only a point, 72-71 with 8:37 left. The teams battled again to try to get separation.

  • With the game knotted at 83 points apiece, Jamier Hughes' layup with 2:39 left gave the Ravens the lead that they would hold on to for the remainder of the contest. Key baskets and free throws gave the Ravens a 90-83 lead with 1:12 on the clock. Still ahead by six points with a minute left, the Cavaliers tried to make inroads, and succeeded to a point, but not enough to get the ball with one possession's difference as the Ravens closed out the contest.


Ravens' Top Performers

  • Jamier Hughes netted a career-high 24 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the field.
  • Marcus Thomas scored 20 with eight rebounds.
  • Kyle Lafferty sank 9-for-10 from the charity stripe to help him score 15 points.
  • Clayton Wolfe scored 11 with six rebounds.
  • Khai Roberts scored nine and had a strong game in the paint with seven boards.


For the Cavaliers

  • Deryl Bagwell shot 5-for-7 from downtown en route to leading the Cavaliers with 25 points.
  • Tyheim Monroe ended the game with 21 points (9-for-11 at the line) and 18 rebounds for a big double-double.

Up Next

The Ravens return home to host the Keystone Giants on Saturday, 1/16 in Alumnae Hall. The game will be the second of a doubleheader and is scheduled for a 3:00pm start.
