William Paterson Men’s Basketball Registers 73-57 Victory at Rutgers-Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. – Senior guard Bright Mensah (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) posted a double-double as the William Paterson men's basketball team (7-4, 2-3 NJAC) registered a 73-57 victory at Rutgers-Camden (2-7, 1-4 NJAC) Dec. 19.

 

Mensah was 10-for-16 (.625) from the field for a game-high 25 points, adding a team-best 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. He added four assists and three steals. Junior guard Zach Frick (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) collected 12 tallies and three assists, while senior guard Manny Hernandez (Paterson, N.J./Paramus Catholic) finished with 10 points.

 

The Pioneers steadily extended a 35-26 halftime lead into a 21-point margin late in the second half (67-46, 3:48). WP turned 22 Scarlet Raptors turnovers into 32 points and shot 45.8 (27-59) percent from the floor during the contest.

 

Junior forward Noah McFarlane and junior guard Davis Graham each scored 11 points for Rutgers-Camden, and sophomore forward Abby Bah collected nine tallies and 14 rebounds.

 

William Paterson will compete at Kean Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 8:00 p.m.
