Brown scored 11 of his 21 in the first half as ECSU opened up a commanding 44-27 lead at the half. The Warriors shot a red-hot 60.0 percent (18-for-30) from the field in the opening stanza.  Michael-Thomas Sciro had nine points off of the bench in the first half.

The Huskies kept pace with the Warriors in the opening five minutes of the first half and trialed by a basket, 15-13, after a Martin three at the 10:58 mark, but ECSU rattled off 10 unanswered points to assume control of the game.  Brown had a four-point play after being fouled while making a three to ignite the run, which was closed by a Preston basket for a 25-13 lead with 9:45 to play.  Southern Maine played the Warriors evenly in the second half, but could not overcome its large first half deficit in the loss.
