TCNJ men race past Rutgers-Camden, 93-66

EWING, N.J. (Nov. 24, 2015) – The College of New Jersey men's basketball team raced to a quick 7-0 lead, built a 50-21 halftime bulge and went on to defeat Rutgers University-Camden, 93-66, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Tuesday night.

 

The Lions improve to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC, while Rutgers-Camden falls to 0-4 and 0-1.

 

TCNJ leads the all-time series, 60-18.

 

Sophomore guard Eric Murdock (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater) scored 15 of his game-high 26 points in the opening half. His teammates, freshman forward Jordan Glover (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) and junior guard Eric Klacik (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) both finished with 14 points after tallying 13 and 12, respectively, in the opening half.

 

Murdock and Glover also finished with 10 rebounds apiece to notch double-doubles.

 

Freshman guard Elijah Robles (Clifton, NJ/Clifton) collected 22 points to pace the Scarlet Raptors. Junior guard Davis Graham (Cinnaminson, NJ/Doane Academy) and junior forward Noah McFarlane (Camden, NJ/Camden Catholic) collected eight points apiece.

 

Freshman forward Ibrahim Kargbo (Woodlynne, NJ/Collingswood) paced the Raptors with six rebounds.

 

The Scarlet Raptors return to action Wednesday, Dec. 2, when they host Rowan University in an 8 p.m. NJAC game.
