Milwaukee School of Engineering Defeats Baruch (74-61)

The Baruch College Bearcats suffered a 74-61 loss to the Milwaukee School of Engineering in the consolation game of the Marlin Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Norfolk, Virginia.

Milwaukee ended the final five minutes of the first half with a 9-2 run to enter the intermission with a 10 point lead (34-24). They shot 6-of-14 from three in the second half to lead by as much as 19 points en route to the win in the first-ever basketball meeting between the two schools.


Raymond De La Cruzand Doyin Isaacled the Bearcats with 14 points each, while Chimaechi Ekekeugborhad 12 points and six rebounds.

Isaac was named to the All-Tournament Team with two game totals of 29 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.  

Austin Steuck led Milwaukee in the win with 25 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.

The Bearcats will return home for a brief break in the schedule before hitting the road again on Sunday, November 29, with a 6:00 pm contest at FDU-Florham in Madison, New Jersey.
