KING'S MEN'S BASKETBALL DOMINATES PENN STATE HAZLETON
HAZLETON -- The King's College men's basketball team used a balanced attack, placing five players in double-figures and controlled the game throughout as the Monarchs posted a dominating 85-44 victory over host Penn State Hazleton Monday night.
With the win King's improved to 2-0 while Penn State slipped to 0-4.

King's asserted itself midway through the first half. After holding a 13-11 lead, the Monarchs went on a 12-0 run to build a 25-11 lead with 3:37 left in the half. King's would then take a 33-16 lead into the break.
The Monarchs opened the second half with a 10-0 run thanks to a three-pointer and a driving lay-up by Chris Fazzini, a pair of free throws from Tom Heston, and an inside bucket from Dan Rutecki to build a 43-19 advantage with 16:15 to play.  King's continued the onslaught and built its biggest lead of the game at 44 points after two foul shots from Derek Wilkins and a Noah Barofski three-pointer with 4:09 to play.

King's outscored Hazleton 52-28 in the second half as the Monarchs scorched the nets, shooting 59.1 (13-22) percent over the game's final 20 minutes. King's teammwork and passing were also evidenced by accumulating 17 assists on 24 made field goals. The Monarchs also attached the basket and were rewarded at the foul line, where they made 25-of-33 attempts.
Chris Fazzini led King's with 17 points while Tom Heston had a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Nate Oliver tallied 11 points while Dan Ruteckihad 10 points and seven rebounds while Jake Barber also chipped in with 10 points. John Dini tallied seven points and eight rebounds off the bench.
