DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Six Delaware Valley University players reached double figures in scoring as the Aggies pulled away to a 90-63, non-conference win over visiting Penn State Brandywine.

DelVal improved to 1-1 on the season while the loss dropped the Lions to 0-2.

The Aggies trailed just once in the game and that was for a 30-second span in the early moments. Penn State Brandywine hung around for the first 10-plus minutes and a Chris Hauser-Dinkins layup with 9:20 left in the opening stanza pulled the Lions to within four at 21-17.

However, DelVal took off from there, scoring six straight and 17 of 21 for a 38-21 advantage with 2:37 to go in the half. Seven different Aggies scored in the run and the team eventually took a 43-26 lead into the intermission.

The Lions never got closer than 17 in the second half and DelVal built the lead to as many as 31. The Aggies held a 56-38 advantage on the boards and were 31-for-44 from the foul line (Penn State Brandywine was 10-for-24).

All 14 DelVal players saw action with nine putting points on the board. Chris Moran had his second double-double in as many games as the senior went for 13 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes. Junior transfer Tyliek Kimbrough added a game-high 15 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Senior guard Zach Sly returned from an injury to contribute 12 points, six boards and three assists while freshman Andre' Butler, senior Matthew Gerner and junior transfer Tyrea Williams notched 11 points apiece. Williams added 11 rebounds in 18 minutes of action.

The Lions were paced by Amir Johnson as he came off the bench to record 13 points and eight rebounds. Cyrie Spencer and Kenneth Murphy had nine and eight points respectively.

DelVal hits the road for a non-conference game at Kean University on Saturday, November 21.
