The Oglethorpe men's basketball team saw two team members make the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association (GABCA) NCAA Division III All-State Team this week. Junior guard Drew Patrick was named First Team All-State while senior guard Alex Davis picked up Second Team All-State honors.

The honor marks the second consecutive year that Patrick has made a GABCA All-State team, as he was chosen as Second Team All-State in 2013-14. He was named to the All-SAA Second Team for his work over the course of this season. He averaged 13.3 points per game, placing him eighth in the SAA in that category, while shooting 44.0 percent from three-point range and 80.9 percent from the free-throw line, placing him sixth in both categories. He also averaged 1.3 steals per game on the year, placing him eighth in the league.

Davis earns his second consecutive GABCA All-State honor, as he was named All-State Honorable Mention last season. This year, he earned All-SAA Honorable Mention after twice being named theSAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week over the course of the season. He finished sixth in the league in both steals and assists, averaging 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He also sits at seventh in the league with a 50.5 field-goal percentage.

The Stormy Petrels have had at least one team member make the GABCA Division III All-State First Team in all eight years the accolade has been handed out.
