SCHENECTADY, NY -- Aldin Medunjanin led Skidmore College with a double-double, with 20 points and a game high 12 rebounds and Erik Sanders scored 21 points in an 82-63 win over host Union College at the Viniar Athletic Center Friday night. The Thoroughbreds now are a perfect 6-0 in Liberty League play and 9-5 overall. The Dutchmen stand 8-9 and 2-6 in league play.

Connor Merrill scored 14 points and Perun Kovacevic tallied 11 while Kovacevic and Sanders each had eight rebounds, as Skidmore outrebounded Union, 50-31 for the night. The Thoroughbreds shot 51% for the night, 50% in the first half and 52% in the second, and made 81% of the free throw attempts (17-21).

William Hython scored 21 points with 10 rebounds and Deshon Burgess scored 17 points for the Dutchmen. It was Hython's fifth straight double-double, and 10th of the season. Terell Winney added three steals with his eight points. Union had just eight turnovers for the night, and shot 36% for the game.

The Dutchmen had a 21-17 lead with 8:02 left in the first half, and had led by as many as six earlier. But after that four point deficit, Skidmore went on a 20-0 run 6:04 for a 37-21 score, featuring two three pointers by Isaac Carp and five points by Petrocevic. The guests took a 39-25 lead into the half. The closest Union got in the second half was 14 at 58-44 with 9:50 left, and the largest lead for the guests was 23 with 13 seoncds remaining.

Union wraps up a three game home week with a 4 p.m. contest vs. RPI Saturday.
