(Carlisle, Pa.) – It was a tale of two halves on Saturday as the #4-ranked Dickinson men's basketball team overcame a tough start to turn back visiting Ursinus College, 73-57, at the Kline Center.

The Red Devils struggled early, hitting just eight shots in the first half and no three-pointers. That all changed after the break as junior Brandon Angradi and Gerry Wixted got hot from the outside, combining for five three-pointers in a span of just two minutes.

Four different players scored as the Red Devils opened with an 8-4 start. They broke a 14-14 tie with a Chris Cox jumper and a pair of free throws from Wixted before the Bears answered with a three-pointer from Steve Leonard.

Steve Collins made a strong move, converting a three-point play to put the Devils up, 21-17. The Bears closed out the half with a 6-0 run to take a 23-21 lead into the break.

Dickinson came out on fire as Angradi opened the second half with a trio of three-pointers, triggering an 11-2 run, putting the Devils in front 32-25.

Angradi and Wixted combined for five triples in just a two minute span to put Dickinson in front by 18, 48-30, at the 12:41 mark. Ursinus looked to rally at the midpoint of the half, cutting the deficit to single digits with 10:51 to play in the game.

Wixted took control of the game, leading the Devils back to an 18 point advantage with just under six minutes to play. Junior Ted Hinnenkamp, coming off a 29-point performance at Washington, went to work on the boards with four rebounds during the Devils' run. He would finish with a game-high 10 for the game.

A Collins three-point play gave Dickinson its biggest lead, 66-43, with 4:50 remaining. The teams traded baskets down the stretch with the Bears scoring the final six points for the final of 73-57.

The Red Devils turned things around in the second half, outscoring the Bears 15-4 off turnovers and 11-2 off the bench.

Wixted led the way with a game-high 21 points, going 7-for-7 from the free throw line. Angradi tallied five three-pointers, adding 17 points and a pair of assists.
