Senior Conner Nord had 14 points and six rebounds in his 100th career game as No. 5-ranked St. Thomas cruised to a 96-45 home victory over Macalester in Wednesday night's MIAC men's basketball game at Schoenecker Arena.

The Tommies (10-1 overall, 5-1 MIAC) have won six in a row and stayed in a share of the conference lead with St. Olaf. They raced to a 50-20 halftime lead, sank 10 3-pointers, shot 62 percent on the game, with only eight turnovers.

Marcus Alipate added 16 points, and Ryan Saarela scored 10. UST used 18 players, and 17 contributed points.

Fourth-year UST coach John Tauer improved to 84-16 in his career.

Bert Yaffe scored nine points to lead the Scots (2-8, 0-6).

The Tommies are home Jan 10 to play Concordia-Moorhead (3 p.m.).
