Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's men's basketball team picked up another key Capital Athletic Conference victory with an 86-67 win over Frostburg State.  The Saints improve to 15-8 overall and even their league record to 7-7.

Marymount's 15 wins are tied for the most in a season since the 2001-02 campaign.  The Saints also posted 15 wins in head coach Chris Rogers' inaugural season with the Blue and White.

Five Saints scored in double-figures with Tucker Canary and Colin Burkhart leading the way with 11 points each off the bench.  JC Hoellich, Jesse Konadu and Devin Morrow each chipped in 10.

Hoellich nearly posted a double-double with nine rebounds.

A back-and-forth first half saw a pair of ties and seven lead changes over the first 10 minutes before a pair of Hoellich free throws put MU back on top 14-13 at the 9:31 mark.  The Saints closed out the frame on a 24-7 run to take a 37-20 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the break, Marymount held a double-figure lead the rest of the way despite the Bobcats (2-21, 1-13 CAC) pulling within 12 down 49-37 with 13:21 remaining.  A subsequent 9-0 run gave the Saints their first 20-point lead and a cushion to close out the game while getting contributions from every player on the active roster.

James Peters led Frostburg State with a game-high 23 points.

Marymount returns to the hardwood as it travels to face Salisbury in CAC action on Wednesday.
