Senior Kyle Jordan scored his 1,000th career point and a classmate nearly joined him, but the Albright College men's basketball team fell 84-57 at Stevenson on Saturday.

Jordan scored 11 points to move to 1,001 for his career. His milestone point came with 7:35 remaining in the game, on a basket that made it 73-51 Stevenson.

Redshirt-senior Pedro Perez totaled 17 points to give him 998 for his career. He had a chance close to the basket with 2:29 remaining to give the Lions the rare feat of two 1,000-point scorers in the same game, but the shot missed.

With the game tied 21-21 in the first half, Stevenson ran off 11 straight. Christian Roberts' three pushed the Mustangs' lead to 32-21.

The Lions rallied before halftime, going on an 11-2 run of their own, keyed by Perez.

Albright briefly took over a 37-36 lead three minutes into the second half, on a triple from Perez. Colby Giacubeno caught fire behind the arc however, as the Mustangs opened back up a 51-42 advantage.

Stefon McCray completed the and-one opportunity with 14:41 left to push the gap to 56-42.

Stevenson's hoop teams hosted a bone cancer awareness event, wearing yellow shooting shirts and shoelaces and hosting youth teams.

Stevenson's McCray made 7-of-8 field goal attempts and turned in a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Giacubeno had 21 points and made 4-of-5 three-point attempts.

Albright falls to 12-11, 8-8 but is still holding onto fifth place in the Commonwealth Conference. The Lions could potentially clinch a playoff spot on Tuesday with a home win over Lycoming, if Lebanon Valley also loses at Arcadia.
