The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. It is used for basketball coaches to promote cancer awareness and healthy living year round through fundraising and advocacy programs. Coaches vs. Cancer also offers coaches who have the disease a unique opportunity to fight it.

Thomas will be giving all the proceeds of the game to the American Cancer Society.
