NJCU Drops Third Straight, Falls at Stockton 65-49

GALLOWAY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com| Richard Stockton College maintained second place in the New Jersey Athletic Conference standings by limiting New Jersey City University to 3-of-22 three-point shooting (.136) and led from start to finish in a 65-49 victory over NJCU in NJAC men's basketball action on February 6 at the Stockton Sports Center. 
 
Stockton (16-4, 10-3 NJAC) shot 44.4 percent from three-point range in the contest, making 8-of-18 attempts while sweeping the season series from NJCU (10-10, 6-8 NJAC). 
 
NJCU dropped its third consecutive game and dropped into a fifth place tie in the league with Ramapo and Montclair State at 6-8, although the Knights are a combined 3-0 against those teams this year including a season sweep of the Roadrunners. NJCU is one game behind Kean (7-6) in the win column and one game ahead of The College of New Jersey (5-8) with four conference games remaining prior to the six-team NJAC Tournament.
 
NJCU struggled in all facets of its offense attack, shooting 19-of-58 overall (.328) and just 8-of-19 from the line (.421).
