TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College men's basketball team had six players score in double figures as the Greyhounds posted a 73-69 Landmark Conference victory at Goucher College Saturday.

Sophomore guard Jarrod Dilts scored a team high 14 points off the bench to go with seven rebounds while junior guard Izel Dickerson added 13 points including a three-pointer with 17 seconds left to seal the victory for the Greyhounds. Senior forward Cameron Cullen and senior guard Kenny Gula each tossed in 12 points with Cullen adding eight rebounds.

"It was great to have such a balanced scoring attack tonight," stated Head Coach Jim Walker. "It made us really hard to defend. Jarrod had a big game as we reinserted him into the line-up after not having him for awhile."

Senior center Blake English contributed his third double-double of the season and fourth of his career with 10 points and 10 rebounds to help Moravian post a 42-38 edge in rebounds, and English added a career high five assists to go with three blocked shots to raise his school-record career total to 165 blocks. Sophomore guard Matt Bosch also scored ten points.

Julian Livingston and Troy DeShields each scored 18 points for the Gophers, who rallied from a 17-point deficit early in the second half to close Moravian's lead to two points.

Moravian scored the opening points of the game and opened a 7-3 lead on a Cullen free throw at 15:35. The Gophers answered with a 7-2 run to take a 10-9 lead, and Goucher had a 15-14 lead with 8:47 to play before the intermission.

Dilts gave the Hounds the lead back with a jumper and start the squad on a 15-2 run that gave Moravian a 29-17 lead with 5:56 on the clock on a lay-up by Dilts. The Gophers closed within seven points but the Greyhounds headed to the locker room with a 42-27 lead after a three-pointer by Dickerson.

Cullen scored the opening basket of the second half for the Greyhounds to their largest lead of the game 17 points, 44-27, but Goucher answered with a 15-2 run to close within four points, 46-42, with 15 minutes left to play. The Gophers would get the gap down to two points, 54-52, before a 7-0 run capped by a three-pointer from Gula at 9:43 pushed the Hounds lead back to nine points, 61-52.

The run the Greyhounds put together didn't happen when the two teams met in January when Goucher rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit for a 91-90, triple-overtime victory. This time Moravian pushed the lead back to double digits, 66-54, after a three-point play and a jumper from Bosch, the latter with 7:39 to play.

However, the Hounds went four minutes without scoring as Goucher closed within three points, 66-63. Freshman forward Brandon McGuire snapped a draught with a lay-up. McGuire grabbed five rebounds in the contest.

"Brandon played defense really well tonight, and with the contributions he was making, we were able to use him and give some guys a break during the game," Walker said.

With the Hounds holding a slim two-point lead, Dickerson sealed the victory a three-pointer with 17 seconds left and a free throw with just a second showing on the clock.

Moravian will return to action on Wednesday, February 5 when the squad travels to Madison, New Jersey for a Landmark Conference game tipping off at 7:00 p.m. at Drew University.
