Sophomore Levi Barnes netted a team-high 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting as the only double-digit scorer for the Terriers. Junior Eric Westbrook chipped in with eight points.

First-year center Malcolm Delpeche led Bates with 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting and eight rebounds in 16 minutes. Sophomore Mike Boornazian recorded 18 points and six rebounds while junior Graham Safford notched 13 points and nine assists.

Bates held advantages in rebounds (60-22), points in the paint (62-20), points off turnovers (25-5), second-chance points (27-8), and bench points (48-26).

The Bobcats led from wire to wire in the game, jumping out to a 24-5 lead just over five minutes into the contest. The team pushed its lead over 20 points for the first time at 36-15 with 8:55 left in the opening half after a jumper and 3-pointer from Selmon. The hosts closed the first half with a 17-2 run.

Thomas competes at Husson on Dec. 3 at 5:30pm to kick off conference play. The Terriers were 0-2 against Husson last season, falling to them 87-67 at home, then 102-80 in Bangor.
