Britons Work Hard In Final Tune-Up

YPSILANTI, Mich. – While the box score shows Division I Eastern Michigan scored a 77-45 victory over Albion College Friday afternoon, the statistics don't indicate the effort the Britons gave in their final tune-up prior to the Nov. 15 season opening game against the College of Faith (Ark.).

"I told the team that if you play that hard you'll give yourself a chance to win," Albion Coach Jody May said. "There are some execution things we need to clean up, but it was a good start as far as effort is concerned. Eastern Michigan will play the best zone defense we'll face all year. We got some good shots at times, but we did not make them."

Eastern Michigan raced out to an 11-2 early lead and it led 31-11 at halftime. The Eagles outscored Albion by 12, 46-34, in the second half.

Jordan Herron led the starters with a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. Carter Elliott produced 12 points and 3 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.
