St. Mary's City, Md. – Guards Donn Hill (Aberdeen, Md./Bel Air) and Nick LaGuerre (Baltimore, Md./Lansdowne) earned spots on the Seahawk Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team Sunday afternoon after leading the No. 16 St. Mary's College of Maryland men's basketball team to a 2-0 tournament record.

The Seahawks (10-1) closed out the 2012 portion of their schedule with a 79-54 non-conference win over the Misericordia University Cougars for their 10th consecutive victory.  St. Mary's has not lost since dropping its season-opener on November 17.

In the first game of the afternoon, SUNY College at Old Westbury (8-2) rolled to a 97-67 victory over Swarthmore College (3-8).  Westbury's Kerel Mitchell (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Tyrik Tucker (Brooklyn, N.Y.) as well as Swarthmore's Joe Keedy (Petoskey, Mich.) and Will Gates (Willeyville, N.Y.) were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Hill, who started the game by making his first six shots, finished as the Seahawks' leading scorer for the fourth straight game, notching a season-best 19 points for the second consecutive contest and adding a season-high five steals.  LaGuerre contributed 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting while junior guard Brendan McFall (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) tallied a dozen on a career-best three three-point field goals.

Senior guard Devin Spencer (Baltimore, Md./Towson Catholic) was the fourth Seahawk to score in double digits as Spencer finished with his first career double-double on 12 points and a career-best 10 assists.  Senior forward Jeff Haus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) contributed to the team's 37-33 rebounding edge with a game-high 11 rebounds.

St. Mary's never trailed in the game as Misericordia (6-5) only tied it up twice within the first four minutes of the contest.  The Seahawks owned a double-figure advantage from the 4:57-minute mark of the first half and never looked back.

Hill and LaGuerre led all players at intermission with 12 points each as St. Mary's headed into the locker room with a 44-21 halftime lead after shooting 60% from the field, including 6-of-11 from downtown.  Thirty-four of the Seahawks' 79 points came off of 23 Cougar turnovers.

Guards Matt Greene (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) and Jesse Urich (Elliottsburg, Pa./West Perry) represented Misericordia on the All-Tournament Team while the Cougar bench paced the team in the loss.  Sophomore center Cael Evans (Nanticoke, Pa./Greater Nanticoke) picked up 13 points and Urich chipped in 11 while first-year forward Steve Ware (Lorton, Va./South County) hauled in 10 boards.

The Seahawks will be back in action at the Morris Cregger New Year's Invitational hosted by Roanoke College (Salem, Va.) on January 1-2.  St. Mary's will take on Huntingdon College on the 1st at 2:00 pm.
