St. Mary's City, Md. – Junior guard Donn Hill (Aberdeen, Md./Bel Air) continued to impress for the Seahawks as Hill tallied a season-best 18 points Saturday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action.  The No. 24 St. Mary's College of Maryland men's basketball team posted a 70-56 victory over Marymount (Va.) University to remain unbeaten in conference play.

Hill went 8-of-15 from the field while bringing down eight rebounds to pace the Seahawks.  Senior guard Devin Spencer (Baltimore, Md./Towson Catholic) also had a solid effort with 15 points and six assists while sophomore guard Nick LaGuerre (Baltimore, Md./Lansdowne) added a dozen points.

St. Mary's (7-1, 2-0 CAC) owned a 31-27 halftime advantage as Hill led all scorers with 10 first-half points.  The Seahawks never trailed in the game as Marymount only tied the game once at 15:27 of the first half on a triple by sophomore Brenden Cuyler (Upper Marlboro, Md./Archbishop Carroll).

Marymount (2-5, 0-2 CAC) kept it close in the first half as the Saints shot 50.0% to St. Mary's 38.2% while edging the hosts in rebounding, 16-14.  Cuyler and sophomore guard Antonio Rouse (Woodbridge, Va./Bishop Ireton) paced their team in the first half with five points each.

The Seahawks opened up the second stanza with an 8-1 run for their first double-digit lead of the game at 16:49 and never looked back.  The lead would bulge to 50-32 at 11:36 for St. Mary's biggest margin of the contest.  The tables turned in regards to shooting as the hosts improved to 48.0% while Marymount dropped to 34.8%.

St. Mary's took care of the ball, making only eight turnovers, while the Seahawk defense forced 19 Marymount turnovers that led to 19 points.  Senior forward Jeff Haus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) hauled in a season-best 12 rebounds while chipping in eight points for the Seahawks.

Cuyler paced the Saints with 15 points while first-year Rick Narcisse (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) contributed seven boards and six points.

The Seahawks will now enjoy a well-deserved break to focus on finals and the holidays.  St. Mary's will return to the court on Saturday, December 22 as the Seahawks host Fairleigh Dickinson University, College at Florham in non-conference action at 2:00 pm.
