Trio reaches double figures as Gallaudet rolls past Christendom, 86-56

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University men's basketball team coasted to an 86-56 victory Tuesday evening at the Field House as the Bison dispatched Christendom College in a non-conference game before a crowd of 130.

The Bison (2-2) played 12 players and went to their bench early often as GU's reserves contributed 33 points in the win. Senior guard Brandon McMillan (Frederick, Md.) scored a game-high 20 points as three different Bison reached double digits. Freshman guard Jaris Alleyne (Waldorf, Md.) came off the bench to net 19 points, a new career-high, in 19 minutes of action. Junior forward Danny Kelly (Strongsville, Ohio) tallied 14 points while senior guard Layton Seeber (Champaign, Ill.) had a solid overall game with nine points, seven assists, four rebounds and four steals.

Gallaudet scored the game's first points and never looked back as the Bison never trailed in the game. GU led 51-30 at the half. In the second half, the Bison opened up their largest lead of 33 points with 13:44 left in regulation. GU controlled the paint against Christendom (0-6) as the Bison outscored the Crusaders 56-18 down low. Gallaudet also scored 32 points off 30 Christendom turnovers.
