The Lake Forest College men's basketball team routed host Illinois College 71-47 Wednesday to extend its winning streak to a program record 15 games. Sophomore guard James Stack shot 4-for-5 from three-point range to lead a balanced Forester scoring attack.

Stack was 5-for-6 from the field overall and added three assists and two steals in 23 minutes of play. Senior post player Travis Clark and forward Drew Grennell finished the evening with 13 and 11 points, respectively, in a combined 32 minutes of action. Both players shot 5-for-7 from the field, Grinnell pulled down six rebounds, and Clark had three assists and a steal.

Senior forward Nate Bateman also contributed in a number of statistical categories, connecting three times in as many attempts from beyond the arc during a performance that included nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Fellow senior forward Dayton Young led all players in the game with seven rebounds.

Seventeen different Foresters played in the game and 13 scored. They combined to shoot 47.3 percent from the field while limiting the Blueboys to just 31.4 percent. Lake Forest also made nine of 24 three-pointers (37.5%) while the home team made just two of 19 attempts from beyond the arc. In addition, the visitors out-rebounded Illinois College 37-31 and committed just 11 turnovers to the Blueboys' 15.

A 9-0 Illinois College run erased an eight-point Forester lead early in the game. Lake Forest regained the advantage and was ahead 27-23 before outscoring the Blueboys 15-0 over the final seven minutes of the first half.

The Foresters' lead never dipped below 17 points and the visitors were ahead by as many as 25 in the second half.

Lake Forest's 15th consecutive victory breaks the team record of 14 that spanned the 1914-15 and 1915-16 seasons. The team is now 15-1 overall and 11-0 in Midwest Conference play. Illinois College fell to 3-13 overall and 1-10 in the league.

The Foresters will host second-place Grinnell College (14-1, 10-1 MWC) Saturday afternoon at 3:00.
