DUBUQUE, Iowa - Zack Barragan scored a game-high 24 points and the Simpson men's basketball team dominated the second half in an 82-70 win over Loras on Wednesday night.

Barragan shot 9 of 14 from the field and went 4 of 6 from 3-point range for the Storm (7-9, 4-4 Iowa Conference), who outscored Loras 51-35 in the second half in winning their third game in a row.

Cornelius Mosby posted an 18-point, 10 rebound double-double and went 10 of 12 from the free throw line. Simpson shot better than 85 percent from the charity stripe as a team, going 23-for-27.

Tim Kelly scored 13 points and Jordan Harrelson scored eight with 11 rebounds and four blocks for the Duhawks (4-13, 1-7).

Simpson trailed by six four minutes into the second half, but outscored Loras 10-0 over the next 2:17 to take a 45-41 lead with 12:48 left.

Drew Bentley sparked the run with an old-fashioned 3-point play. Mosby polished off a 3-point play of his own, tying the game at 41. Barragan got to the hoop for a layup on the next possession, giving Simpson a lead it wouldn't relinquish.

Loras came within a point at the 12-minute mark, but Barragan answered with a jumper and Mosby provided another 3-point play for a six-point cushion.

Simpson returns home Saturday to host Wartburg in a 4 p.m. tipoff.
