Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's men's basketball team fell 73-62 to visiting Hood in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  The Saints drop to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in league play.

Jesse Konadu led the Saints with 15 points while Antonio Rouse added 11.  Five other MU players scored at least six points including Timothy Brisco with eight.

Konadu also added four steals while Garrett Snoops chipped in three.

Marymount shot a respectable 46.8 percent in the game, including a sharp 58.3% in the second half, but were undone by the hot hand of the Blazers (9-4, 2-3 CAC).  Hood shot 61.4% on the day from the floor and 46.2% from three-point range to hold the Saints at bay.

The Saints outscored Hood 36-30 in the paint and took advantage of 10 second chance points but couldn't convert on the Blazers' 20 turnovers as well as their opponents did.

Four Hood players scored in double-figures led by LaVar Rich with 16 points.  Cameron Cook added 15 while both Adrien Straughn and Justin Stone chipped in 11 each.

Marymount returns to the hardwood on Wednesday in non-conference action on the road at Shenandoah.
