MSOE men's basketball falls in NAC quarterfinals to Aurora

Senior forward Austin Meier recorded his 15th double-double of the season but the Raiders were edged by Aurora 72-67 Wednesday night in the quarterfinals of the NAC Tournament at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. Meier scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds while also logging four steals. He entered the week third among all Division III players in steals per game.

Senior guard Bennett Deacon had 14 points while sophomore forward Victor Bande put in 11 points off the bench for MSOE. Junior center Eric Bohrer and freshman guard John Cording each had nine points while Bohrer also pulled down seven rebounds and blocked three shots. 

The Spartans led by 11 points with 1:52 left in the first half but the Raiders went on an 11-0 run to end the half to tie the score at 32. In the second half, MSOE (19-7) opened up a seven-point lead with 6:51 left to go but Aurora battled back to take the lead with 2:23 left and would not trail again.
