Toms still share conference lead after big road win

Tyler Nicolai scored 15 points as No. 9-ranked St. Thomas shot 61% from the floor and scored an 81-70 road win Saturday at Gustavus in MIAC men's basketball play.

The Tommies (19-3 overall, 14-3 MIAC) remained in a share of the conference lead with Carleton. UST ompleted a regular-season sweep of Gustavus.

UST has home games Monday with Concordia and Wednesday with Hamline and finishes the regular season next Saturday at St. John's.

Brady Ervin scored 14 points, Tommy Hannon had 13 points and Alex Healy scored all 11 of his points in the second half. St. Thomas had only nine turnovers and made 19-of-24 foul shots. The Toms led 40-28 at halftime and built the lead to 26 points in the second half.
