New London, N.H. – In a match up of two of the top teams in the TCCC, the Endicott men's basketball team defeated Colby-Sawyer College 65-61 behind 20 points by sophomore Lance Greene (Dorchester, Mass.) and a eight-block performance by junior Erik Callo (Southington, Conn.).

Endicott (14-6, 6-2 TCCC) shot 37.5% from the field, but a 20-of-25 (80.0%) effort from the free throw line kept the Gulls in a close game that saw 13 lead changes. Greene went a perfect 10-of-10 at the charity stripe for half of his points. The guard added seven rebounds, two assists and a steal. Freshman Lachlan Magee (Melbourne, Australia) was the only other Gulls starter to reach double figures, netting 11 points in the win.

Off the bench, freshman guard Bennett Knowlton (Shrewsbury, Mass.) provided 12 points on 4-of-9 from the floor, including two three-pointers as a spark to the Endicott offense. The Gulls bench outscored Colby-Sawyer 30-6.

Colby-Sawyer's (10-9, 6-2 TCCC) offensive output came from Will Bardaglio (Wayne, Maine) who led the Chargers with a team-high 19 points. Five of Bardalio's seven makes were from beyond the arc. Teammate Robbie Burke (Cheshire, Mass.) complemented Bardaglio's effort with 15 points and a game-high eight rebounds.

The Chargers raced out to a 16-4 lead early in the first half thanks to five Endicott turnovers and efficient shooting by the home team. The Blue and Green stormed back with an 18-3 run to take over the lead. Freshman Tyler Burkhart (Cromwell, Conn.) scored five of his nine points off the bench during the stretch run. Colby-Sawyer would eventually go into halftime with a one-point lead at 29-28 following two free throws by James Tobin (Brookline, N.H.).

In the second half, the Chargers once again ran out to a big 11-point advantage in the first 7:28 but Endicott quickly came back to take the lead at 52-51 after a Bennett Knowlton jumper. The two teams would exchange the lead six more times before Knowlton once again hit the go-ahead layup to give the Blue and Green a lead they would not relinquish.

Erik Callo's eight blocks in the game tied his personal best and a program record previously set on December 2nd, 2010 against Wheelock.

The Gulls face another tough conference foe on Saturday, February 5th at 3:00 pm against Regis College in Beverly.
