GREENSBORO, N.C. – Gabriel Lowder's basket with 15 seconds left gave Guilford College a 62-61 upset win over visiting Randolph-Macon College Saturday. The Yellow Jackets (17-3, 10-2 ODAC) entered the game ranked ninth in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll and riding a 13-game winning streak.

The Quakers (13-7, 7-4 ODAC) rallied for their second league win over a nationally ranked team thanks to Josh Pittman's game-high 30 points. The sophomore made all five three-pointers in the second half and poured in 25 points in the period, which helped Guilford overcome an early 10-point second-half deficit.

Pittman's last three-pointer of the game gave Guilford a 60-59 lead with 1:03 left, but Randolph-Macon's Danny Jones made two free throws 19 seconds later for a 61-60 Yellow Jackets' edge. Following a timeout, Guilford got the ball to Pittman, who found Lowder for the game-winning hoop. Randolph-Macon Adam Desgain's three-point attempt rimmed out, preserving Guilford's eighth win in 10 games. The tighyly played contest featured nine ties and 11 lead changes.

Lowder finished with 11 points in the game and teammate Tobi Akinsola chipped in with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. The Quakers shot better than 57 percent from the field in the second half and enjoyed a 33-25 rebounding edge for the game.

Randolph-Macon center Brandon Braxton made eight-of-16 shots from the field and paced the Yellow Jackets with 19 points. Degain and Lamar Giggetts both added 10 points off the bench.

The Quakers visit league-rival Roanoke College Wednesday night (2/2) at 7:00 p.m. before returning home to host Washington and Lee University the following Wednesday (2/9) at 7:00 p.m. on Jimmy V Night in the Ragan-Brown Field House.
