La Roche knocks off Pitt-Greensburg 71-48

Pittsburgh, PA- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg men's basketball team fell at La Roche College 71-48 Wednesday evening in a conference match-up.  The Bobcats will look to pick up their first conference win of the season when the host Hilbert College on Saturday evening in Chambers Hall.

David Palmer (Pittsburgh, PA/Westinghouse) paced the Bobcat attack with 13 points and six rebounds.  Redshirt freshman Michael Gallagher (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) scored eight points on 2-4 shooting from 3-point land in just nine minutes off the bench.

UPG shot 26.9% from the floor in the opening half including 0-6 from behind the arc while La Roche shot a field goal percentage of 53.3%, 8-12 from three as La Roche broke the game open, 42-18 at the half.

Pitt-Greensburg outscored the Redhawks 30-29 in the second half.  UPG falls to 2-5 overall on the season and 0-3 in the very early stages of AMCC play.
