The NCAA announced its next set of championships hosts, and that included awarding the Division III women's basketball Final Fours from 2023 to 2026. The national championship will be part of an all-divisions championship weekend in 2023, and will return to two familiar sites from 2024-2026.

The championship will return to Capital in 2024, where it was slated to be held last season before the championship was canceled due to the early spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2025 and 2026, the championship will be played in Salem, Virginia, at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College.

"We are excited to be hosting the Final Four in conjunction with the Greater Columbus Sports Commission once again," said Capital interim athletic director and women's basketball coach Dixie Jeffers. "It is unfortunate we were unable to host the 2020 championship, but we are thrilled to be getting another opportunity and will be ready for it."

But the 2023 championship tournament will feature the national quarterfinals -- aka the Elite Eight -- and the national semifinals at Ray Oosting Gymnasium on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. The title game will then be played in Dallas, as part of the Division I women's basketball Final Four.

"Hosting the NCAA Championships is tremendous for our program, our school, and the Hartford community," said Trinity women's basketball coach Emily Garner. "It's a great honor and reflects the level of commitment that Trinity has towards athletics. We're excited to showcase all that we have to offer and appreciate the dedication of our administration and the greater campus community in order to make this possible."

If there is a championship to be held in 2021, it will be at the end of a smaller bracket. It is schedule to be held at Roanoke.
