The University of Dallas named Lacey Burns, who was the head coach at Division II Concordia-Irvine (Calif.), as its next head women's basketball coach.

Burns has spent most of her basketball career on the Pacific coast. Before becoming the head coach at Concordia-Irvine, she spent one season as an assistant coach at Division I Pepperdine, one season as head coach at NCCAA member St. Katherine in San Marcos and one season as an assistant at her alma mater, Vanguard University of Southern California.

Burns replaces Greta Grothe who left the University of Dallas after two seasons to become the head coach at SCAC rival Southwestern.
