Kellianne Dunlay is out as head women's basketball coach at SUNY-Purchase and has been replaced by a former basketball coach currently coaching golf at the school. The Panthers went 38-51 in her four-plus seasons.

Dunlay, who has coached at Purchase since 2012-13, started her career at the instutition with two second-place finishes in the Skyline Conference. But the Panthers fell off the table last season, going 4-20, 1-11 in the Skyline Conference. This year, Purchase started 1-10.

The program has struggled from a lack of numbers. Last year's team finished the season with just eight players and of the seven underclassmen, just three returned. This year's roster lists nine players.

Dunlay was replaced by James Alfredo on an interim basis. Alfredo, also the school's head golf coach, has more than 20 years of experience coaching basketball, including having previously been a women's assistant coach at Purchase.

Dunlay had previously spent three years as head coach at Division II Mercy, where her teams went 13-66.
