Quardell Young added another game-winning shot to his resume, and No. 1 UW-Whitewater edged UW-Platteville 65-64, while Augustana survived on the road, Marietta remained perfect and Randolph-Macon continued its long streak.

The homestanding Pioneers battled the top-ranked Warhawks to a standstill for much of the game. Neither team led by more than three points for the game's final 10 minutes. After Quardell Young hit a 3-pointer to put UW-Whitewater on top 63-60 with two minutes to play, the Pioneers responded with four free throws to regain the lead. Young scored a layup with eight seconds left to put the Warhawks back in front and blocked Platteville's final shot to seal the win. He finished with 26 points, shooting 5-for-8 from 3-point range.

No. 8 Randolph-Macon beat Bridgewater (Va.) 58-55 to push its winning streak to 13 games. With the game tied at 51 and less than four minutes to play, the Yellow Jackets held the Eagles without a field goal the rest of the way and Chris Hamilton scored seven of his 10 points over the final three minutes to lead the Yellow Jackets. Randolph-Macon (16-2, 9-0 ODAC) overcame a rough shooting night, particularly from three where the Yellow Jackets were 5-for-20.

No. 3 Marietta (18-0, 11-0) remains perfect after beating Muskingum 93-77. The Pioneers' reserves scored 52 points, led by 13 each from A.J. Edwards and A.J. Ireland.

Fourth-ranked Augustana needed overtime to avoid its second loss in three games, as the Vikings led by 13 in the second half before Elmhurst rallied and Brant Ackerman hit a jumper with one second left in regulation to tie it up at 64-64. Jawan Straughter scored seven of his 11 points in overtime, however, including both of his 3-pointers, to lift Augustana to the 77-73 win.

Ohio Wesleyan dropped out of the Top 25, but the Battling Bishops are very much alive in the NCAC title chase. They beat No 10 Wooster 92-85 to sweep the season series and move into a tie for first place. Both teams have two losses in conference but Ohio Wesleyan now owns the tiebreaker. Claude Gray scored 18 first-half points and added five points during a 12-0 second-half run that opened up a 15-point lead, and freshman guard Nate Axelrod went 8-for-8 from the free throw line during the final two-plus minutes. Gray paced the Battling Bishops with 29 points.

Longtime St. John's coach Jim Smith tied Lute Olson for 15th all-time in career wins as a collegiate men's basketball coach as he picked up win No. 780 when the Johnnies won at Concordia-Moorhead 73-68. The win ends a seven-game losing streak for SJU in Moorhead. Alex Schmitt led the Johnnies with 21 points as SJU shot 66 percent from the floor.

Matt McCarthy scored 44 points for Guilford and the Quakers needed all of them to beat Emory and Henry in double-overtime, 91-88. McCarthy converted a 3-point play with 13 seconds left in regulation to send the game to the first overtime and scored eight points in the second overtime.

Misericordia sits alone in first place atop the Freedom Conference standings. Joe Busaca hit a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining and the Cougars topped Delaware Valley 70-69 to close the first half of conference play. Misercordia improved to 14-4, 6-1 in conference while the Aggies dropped to 10-8, 5-2 in conference.
