Fans: Cast your vote for All-Star Game!

Last year, voters selected St. Lawrence's Ralph Temgoua and Wash U's Dylan Richter.

Fans have the opportunity to select one student-athlete for each of the two teams in the 2013 Reese’s® Division III College All-Star Game. The game will be played on March 23 prior to the NCAA® Division III men’s basketball championship semifinal games at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va., beginning at 3:30 p.m. Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups are the official candy partner of the NCAA.

Voting will take place on the front page of D3hoops.com, starting at noon ET on Monday, March 11, and running through noon ET on Wednesday, March 13. Fans will be able to choose from a list with the top senior student-athlete in each of the eight Division III regions whose teams are no longer participating in the NCAA Tournament. The two top vote-getters will join 16 other seniors, two from each region, who were selected by a committee vote, for a total of nine student-athletes per side. Fans may cast one vote per device.

It is the third year that voting for these spots has been conducted online. Last year, more than 37,000 ballots were cast on D3hoops.com.

“This is a fun event for fans and we are happy to be able to have this part to play in the process,” said Pat Coleman, executive editor of D3sports.com. “We know the true Division III basketball fan already has us bookmarked and is the reason we had more than half a million unique visitors last year. Division III basketball has never been more popular.”

The two players will be given spots on the All-Star team roster, joining two seniors selected from each Division III region.

“This online voting for the Reese’s College All-Star Game in Division III allows fans to be directly involved and adds to the excitement surrounding the event,” said Reggie Minton, NABC deputy executive director. “The Reese’s All-Star game is a terrific event for the coaches, student-athletes and fans.”
