October 5, 2017 Thomaskutty steps down at Emory Emory announced that women's basketball coach Christy Thomaskutty is stepping down from her position for health reasons. Misha Jackson, who played and coached under Thomaskutty, will serve as interim head coach.

October 4, 2017 Hiram selects alumna for new coach Hiram selected Alex Dellas as its new head women's basketball coach. Dellas, who graduated from the College in 2010, replaces Emily Hays who left for the head coaching position at Dickinson.

October 3, 2017 Kornaker steps down at St. John Fisher The winningest active men's coach in the East Region has stepped down as Rob Kornaker announced he is leaving St. John Fisher to spend more time with his family. The College named Mike Grosodonia II as his replacement.

October 3, 2017 La Crosse names Dernbach interim coach UW-La Crosse selected Stevens Point assistant Kent Dernbach as its interim head coach. He was the Pointers' interim head coach during Bob Semling's suspension related to the NCAA's investigation of program violations related to out-of-season practices.

September 21, 2017 Eberhardt resigns; interim replacement named UW-Superior lost its second head basketball coach this month as Paul Eberhardt stepped down from his position atop the men's program. The University named alum Greg Polkowski as the interim head coach for this season.

September 20, 2017 St. John Fisher reels in Hilbert coach St. John Fisher named Melissa Kuberka as its new head women's basketball coach and only the third in program history. She replaces Marianne O'Connor-Ermi who led the Cardinals to two NCAA Tournaments.

September 14, 2017 Koelbl leaving Lax Ken Koelbl has decided to step down as head men's basketball coach at UW-La Crosse effective immediately. He will remain with the university in its admissions office and the Eagles will name an interim head coach.

September 6, 2017 Mulhern moves from Superior to St. Kate's Don Mulhern, who won titles in two different conferences with UW-Superior, will be the next head coach at St. Catherine. He replaces Sean Pinkerton who took over Oswego State's program.

August 23, 2017 Newbury quickly names new coach Less than a week after announcing Dana Barros' resignation as head men's basketball coach, Newbury College announced that Pine Manor head coach Rich Fazzi will fill that vacancy.

August 21, 2017 Scots go Young, name new coach After a national search of candidates, the Covenant men's basketball program has a new head coach as director of athletics Tim Sceggel named Neal Young the 16th head coach in program history.

August 4, 2017 Dickinson hires Hays away from Hiram After losing its head women's basketball coach to Johns Hopkins, Dickinson found her replacement at Hiram. Emily Hays will fill the Red Devils' vacancy after three seasons with the Terriers.

July 31, 2017 Pinkerton heads back Upstate After leading the turnaround at St. Catherine in Minnesota, Sean Pinkerton is headed back to Upstate New York to become the next head coach at Oswego State.

July 31, 2017 Generals recruit alum after coach departs Washington and Lee selected Chris McHugh as its next head men's basketball coach, replacing Adam Hutchinson who accepted an assistant coaching position at his alma mater Amherst.

July 27, 2017 Panthers pick D2 assistant PItt-Bradford named Sharay Hall as its next head women's basketball coach. Hall played and coached at Division II schools Lock Haven (Pa.), Clarion (Pa.) and West Virginia Wesleyan.

July 27, 2017 Dallas goes to west coast for next coach The University of Dallas named Lacey Burns as its new head women's basketball coach. Burns was the head coach of a Division II team and assistant on a Division I team in California.

July 26, 2017 Staten Island makes interim hire Staten Island turned to former player T.J. Tibbs as its interim head coach to fill the vacancy created by Tony Petosa's retirement. Tibbs was the interim head coach for Mount St. Vincent last season.

July 21, 2017 Goucher grad takes over at Centenary Damian Pitts, who played at Goucher and coached at D2 Millersville for more than a decade, will be the next head coach for Centenary (N.J.).

July 13, 2017 ASC veteran gets her Le-turn as head coach Cassi Rozanski played four years at Texas-Dallas and coached seven years at Texas-Tyler. After two seasons away from the conference, she gets her chance to be a head coach in the ASC at LeTourneau.

July 3, 2017 ODAC All-American to lead Ferrum men Shortly after announcing its upcoming move to the ODAC, Ferrum announced that one of the ODAC's best players in recent history will be its new head men's basketball coach. Tyler Sanborn, who was a two-time All-American for Guilford, was announced as the choice this week.

July 1, 2017 Oberlin assistant takes over at Bard Casi Donelan, who was the primary assistant to Kerry Jenkins at Oberlin for three seasons, will be the next women's basketball head coach at Bard College.

July 1, 2017 Pitt-Greensburg picks Purple Raider Pitt-Greensburg selected Brody Jackson, an assistant coach at Mount Union, to be its new head men's basketball coach. He replaces Sean Strickland who was let go earlier this summer.

July 1, 2017 Petosa steps down at Staten Island Making a decision he described as "fifty percent personal and fifty percent basketball," Staten Island's Tony Petosa has resigned from his position as men's basketball coach. Petosa was the College's winningest coach in any sport with 459 wins.

June 30, 2017 Centenary (La.) goes far north for next coach Lyndon State head coach Chris Dorsey is moving from Vermont to Shreveport, Louisiana to become the next head coach for the Centenary Gents.

June 26, 2017 Coe-ching change for Kohawks Coe women's basketball head coach Nate Oakland stepped down to take an assistant position at D1 North Dakota State. The College has promoted assistant Kayla Waskow to fill the vacancy.

June 26, 2017 Pirates snag coach from SCAC rival Greta Grothe is changing jobs but staying in the SCAC. After two seasons at the University of Dallas, she's headed to Southwestern University.

June 22, 2017 McNeely docks at Maine Maritime Piedmont assistant coach Dan McNeely is sailing far up the east coast to become the new head men's basketball coach at Maine Maritime.

June 19, 2017 Salem State selects new coach Al Berger will be the new women's basketball head coach at Salem State. He replaces Michelle Cunningham who stepped down from the position after six seasons.

June 16, 2017 Dickinson coach moves to Johns Hopkins After three seasons at Dickinson, Katherine Bixby is leaving the Red Devils but staying in the Centennial Conference. She will fill the vacancy created at Johns Hopkins when Nancy Funk retired.

June 14, 2017 Mitchell names new women's coach Mitchell has selected Courtney Burns as its new head women's basketball coach. Burns played at Rhode Island College and coached at Johnson and Wales.

June 14, 2017 Pitt-Bradford coach moves from women to men Pitt-Bradford stayed not just in-house but in the same hallway to find its new men's basketball coach. Sean Brown will move from the Panthers' women's head coaching position to the men's head coaching position.

June 5, 2017 TCNJ name replacement for long-time coach TCNJ needed a new women's coach after Dawn Henderson decided her 28th season would be her last. On Monday the Lions announced Francesca Jackson as their selection.

May 31, 2017 Witt removes interim tag from women's coach Wittenberg promoted Kelly Mahlum to head coach after she completed a season as the Tigers' interim leader. Mahlum was previously the head coach at Colorado College and Greensboro.

May 17, 2017 Walsh hired at Shenandoah Adam Walsh is coming home to Winchester, Va. to coach the Shenandoah men's team. He spent the last seven seasons guiding Centenary (La.) through its transition to Division III.

May 4, 2017 Loeffler to return to D-III, take Johns Hopkins job Josh Loeffler, who coached Stevens to the Sweet 16 in 2008 and spent the next nine years in Division I, will take over for Bill Nelson at Johns Hopkins.

April 25, 2017 Schreiner takes Rhodes assistant Schreiner University turned to Samantha Davidson as its next head women's basketball coach. She has spent time coaching in Tennessee at the high school, Division I and Division III levels since graduating from Birmingham-Southern.

April 25, 2017 Funk retires from Johns Hopkins After 31 years and more than 500 victories, Nancy Funk announced her retirement as Johns Hopkins' women's basketball coach on Tuesday. Her announcement coincides with the retirement of the Blue Jays' long-time men's coach Bill Nelson.

April 24, 2017 Earlham coach steps down Earlham College announced that Melissa Johnson will not return as the Quakers' head coach following a long battle with life-threatening health issues. Johnson cited "a major setback" in her decision to resign.

April 21, 2017 Bridgewater looks far north for new coach Bridgewater (Va.) tabbed Sarah Gaffney as the third coach in the program's history, replacing recently retired Jean Willi. Gaffney spent the last three seasons as head coach of Keuka College in Upstate New York.

April 14, 2017 Rock out, Whittier: Poets change coaches Rock Carter announced he is stepping down as Whittier's head men's basketball coach.. Assistant Mark Jensen will be the Poets' interim head coach through the 2017-18 season.

April 11, 2017 Goucher names Preston as head coach Goucher named Andrea Preston as its new head women's basketball coach. Preston was previously the head coach at Hiram and Clarkson before joining Dixie Jeffers' staff at Capital for three seasons.

April 8, 2017 Payne logs off, heads to D1 Puget Sound head coach Loree Payne is leaving the Loggers to become a Lumberjack. She will be the next head coach at Division I Northern Arizona University after leading UPS to its first outright NWC title in program history.

March 24, 2017 Aanonsen moves from Lakeland to WLC Aaron Aanonsen is moving from Lakeland to Wisconsin Lutheran to become the Warriors' new head men's basketball coach. He will replace Skip Noon who will focus on his duties as school's athletic director.

March 23, 2017 Berry's coach Dunn and moving on Stephanie Dunn resigned from her position as Berry head women's basketball coach to take a high school coaching job. Thomas Johnson, who was an assistant coach for the men's team, will fill the vacancy.
