Mia Castillo became the CUNYAC's all-time leading scorer surpassing Lauren Cargill's 2,272 career points from 1999 to 2003 at CCNY.

Mia Castillo is the first women's basketball player at Baruch to reach the milestone of 2,000 career points, and she reached the milestone on a night she was already being honored for another feat of scoring.

Elissa Leung became the 17th player in Baruch women's basketball history to reach the 1,000th career point milestone after she hit two free throws with 0:39 left in the second quarter. She finished with eight points in the Bearcats' 69-37 home victory.

The Bearcats, who were playing in their first semifinal since 2015, went on an impressive rally hitting seven 3-pointers over the course of the next five minutes to stun John Jay to get as close as 57-53 with 2:09 left.

The Bearcats took control early leading by as much as 26-12 with 4:10 left in the second period, but the visiting Lightning battled back scoring 13 of the last 17 points before the halftime break to cut the score to 30-25.

The Bearcats finish their regular season schedule in third place in the CUNYAC standings and will host Lehman College on Sunday, February 20, at 1:00 p.m. The CUNYAC will announce the entire championship schedule and match ups shortly.

The Bearcats scored only two points (trailing 9-2) after the first period, but exploded the rest of the way out-scoring the hosts 18-6 in the second period and 18-8 in the third en route to evening their season record at 9-9 and 7-4 in the CUNYAC.

The two teams played a competitive contest but the turning point took place in the third quarter.

The visiting Hawks built up a 29-15 halftime advantage and kept their lead throughout the second half in double-digits for the road win.

The Bearcats broke open the CUNYAC contest in the third period. They trailed 42-36, but scored the next 12 points behind suffocating defense to jump ahead 48-42.

The result helps the Bearcats take over second place in the CUNYAC standings as the conference schedule reaches the midway point.

The Bearcats' season-high four-game streak comes to an end as they are now 6-7 overall and 4-2 in the CUNYAC.  

Melinda Spahiu made history during the second half becoming the 15th player in Baruch women's basketball program history to score 1,000 career points. She now totals 1,002.

The Baruch College Bearcats recorded a 79-33 CUNYAC home win against the Beavers of CCNY on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

It was a tale of two different halves between the Bearcats and Lehman on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats appeared to be in trouble trailing 41-28 with 6:49 left in the third quarter, but they took control down the stretch when it counted the most for the impressive road win that begins a busy week with CUNYAC home games scheduled for Wednesday against Lehman and Saturday against John Jay. 

The visiting Bulldogs started the contest with a 19-4 run en route to building a 50-26 halftime lead.

The Bearcats played a strong first quarter (19-18), but the visiting Golden Eagles outscored the Bearcats 23-9 in the second quarter to take control. That 23-9 advantage proved to be the biggest difference this afternoon as the Bearcats out-scored their visitors a combined 35-30 in the third and fourth quarters.

The Baruch College Bearcats started the CUNYAC portion of their schedule with an exciting 63-61 overtime victory against the Hawks of Hunter College on Friday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.

Two years ago, the Bearcats defeated the Fighting Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill, 72-71, in a very competitive contest in the ARC Arena. Fast forward to tonight. Same type of competitive contest, but this time Cobleskill walked away with the narrow 65-62 win.

The Baruch College Bearcats lost a competitive non-conference contest to the Mariners from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, 53-48, on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

Mia Castillo tallied 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists. She was named to the All-Tournament Team.

The two teams started slow and only combined for 17 total points after the first quarter, but the Cougars outscored the visiting Bearcats 28-10 in the second quarter to take control in the home win.

The Baruch College Bearcats returned to action after 627 days with a 75-56 season-opening win against the Bears of St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn. Mia Castillo started her intercollegiate career with a triple-double posting 30 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists to go along with two steals and one block in 34 minutes of action

Natalie Ibelhaupt connected on a backdoor layup with 0.5 seconds left to lift the Bearcats to an exciting 74-72 CUNYAC overtime home win over the Dolphins of Staten Island on Bearcats Appreciation Night.

The visiting Bearcats scored 27 points off 26 Lehman turnovers and maintained a double-digit lead throughout a majority of the contest.

The visiting Hawks broke open the game in the second quarter by outscoring the Bearcats, 20-9, to record the CUNYAC win.
