UW-Whitewater's Aleah Grundahl and Guilford's Tyler Dearman have won the Jostens Trophy, which recognizes the most outstanding men's and women's Division III basketball players of the year in terms of basketball ability, academic prowess, and service to one's surrounding communities.

Babson played its way into the NCAA Tournament past NEWMAC top seed WPI, St. Thomas (Texas) got bounced in the SCAC semifinals, Wabash returned the favor to conference rival Wooster, Guilford won at the buzzer and NESCAC top seed Williams lost, meaning the NESCAC will probably steal an extra bid.

The Guilford College men’s basketball team welcomed the Maroons of Roanoke College. The 17th-ranked Quakers gained early control and dealt the Maroons their first ODAC loss of the year, 61-50.
The 21st-ranked Guilford College men's basketball team faced the University of Lynchburg in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference showdown. After a tightly contested first half, the Quakers defeated the Hornets, 75-59.
No. 23 WPI and No. 8 Marietta stayed perfect in conference with convincing wins while Guilford did the same by upsetting No. 15 Roanoke. On the women's side, No. 18 Springfield and Millikin kept rolling along but one of the two ranked WIAC teams stumbled. Plus the list of undefeated men's teams was trimmed by one. Read about it here.
When we decided to change the timing of our All-Decade teams, we knew we were leaving some talented and decorated Division III student-athletes out. But we do not forget, even 12-13 years later, the best of the seniors who graduated in 2008 and 2009. It's our All-Gap team.
