It has been a crazy week for Shamika Singleton and her Concordia (Texas) teammates. The Tornados swept through the ASC tournament and are headed to Oregon for the NCAA Tournament.
After two years as an assistant coach for Veronica Snow at McMurry, Rusty Rainbolt will stay in the ASC and take over the Concordia-Texas women's program as head coach.
Armon Gilliam was an All-American at UNLV and the No. 2 pick in the 1987 NBA draft. While he wasn't a star in the NBA, he was good enough to play 13 seasons and score more than 12,000 points before retiring in 2000. Normally that alone is good enough to land some sort of Division I job, but Gilliam is content to be head coach rebuilding the program at Penn State-Altoona.
