There will not be a more meaningful, powerful, or inspirational bucket scored this season than the one with which Lauren Hill opened the 2014-15 NCAA women's basketball campaign. In front of the largest crowd to watch a D-III women's game, Hill and her battle got national attention.
Lauren Hill has been battling brain cancer for nearly a year, but even the cancer and chemo treatments didn't keep her from finishing her high school basketball career. Now a freshman at Mount St. Joseph, the team is moving up the season opener in hopes she can play.
