WASHINGTON, Pa. – Senior Marina Scarantino buried a game-tying three-pointer with one second left on the second half clock to force overtime, as Allegheny was able to overcome a 13-point, second-half deficit to pick up a 94-89, overtime win over Washington & Jefferson in an instant classic Tuesday evening at the Henry Memorial Center.

The Gators halted the losing streak in a big way behind a pair of double-doubles from juniors Heidi Goeller and Daryl Ford, and the programs first triple-double in over 12 years by sophomore Erica Restich; defeating the Terriers 70-56.
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Junior Daryl Ford scored a career-high 29 points for Allegheny, and the Gators nearly erased a 23 point first half deficit falling to the Tigers of Wittenberg on Saturday afternoon 76-87.
GREENCASTLE, Ind. – Allegheny traveled to the campus of No. 6 DePauw University on Friday night in a battle of the top teams of the NCAC. The Gators were able to keep the game within reach in the first half, but the Tigers were too much for Allegheny to handle, as DePauw handed Allegheny just its third conference loss of the season 80-45.
GAMBIER, Ohio – The Allegheny women’s basketball team’s season-high five game win streak came to an end on Saturday afternoon at the hands of Kenyon College. The Ladies used a strong second half to hand the Gators just their second conference loss of the season, 78-55.

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Allegheny women’s basketball team traveled to the campus of Oberlin College Wednesday night in a rematch of their game just one month ago. In their previous match-up, the Gators overpowered the Yeowomen in a 19 point victory at home; however, Allegheny would find a very motivated Oberlin squad waiting to avenge their earlier loss. The Gators would find themselves down by as much as 11, but would once again show why they can never be counted out, beating Oberlin 68-63.

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women’s basketball team took to the court for the first time in 20 days Tuesday night, when they hosted non-conference foe Carnegie Mellon. Both teams would start the game with a bit of rust, as the Tartans also had a 20-plus day break. However, the Carnegie Mellon would bust out of their rut early in the second half, and defeat the Gators 61-54.
CRESSON, Pa. – The Allegheny women’s basketball team found themselves down 21 with just over seven minutes remaining in the second half. What followed could only be described as miraculous, as Allegheny went on a 29-8 run to force overtime and complete one of the most improbable comebacks in program history.
