After taking a week off for final exams, the #13 Millikin women's basketball team won over Alma College 94-67 at the Post Exam Jam at Hope College in Holland, Michigan on December 19.
Millikin controlled the game from the start jumping out to a 5-0 lead and building a 22-10 advantage after one quarter. The Big Blue lead 50-31 at halftime.
Millikin shot 51 percent (39-77) from the field and made 10-24 (42 percent) from three-point range. Alma managed to make only 24-62 (39 percent) from the field. The Big Blue forced Alma into 17 turnovers while committing on three.
Elyce Knudsen led Millikin with 28 points, six assists and five blocks. Bailey Coffman had 14 points and nine rebounds. Sophie Darden had a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Christina Rice added 10 points. Matayia Tellis had eight points and a team high four steals.
Madison Robbins led Alma with 14 points and eight rebounds. Taylor Sas added 10 points.
Millikin will face #12 Hope College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. The Flying Dutch are playing Augustana College in Tuesday's second game.
