Benedictine Women Streak to Ninth Straight

MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University women's basketball team raced to a 16-2 lead after the opening 10 minutes in zipping to a ninth straight win at Alverno.

Alverno scored the first points of the game and then did not score again for over a quarter
Allison Michalski tied the game to open a 16-0 run completed on a jumper from Alex Fanning in the final minute
Michalski scored six in the run with Fanning tallying five
The hosts cut the deficit to seven midway through the second at 20-13 before Benedictine ended the half with a 15-1 spurt, taking a 35-14 lead into the half on two free throws from Britney Pitzer
Benedictine went on to lead by 37 points in the fourth quarter as the entire roster had the opportunity to play
