MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University women's basketball team raced to a 16-2 lead after the opening 10 minutes in zipping to a ninth straight win at Alverno.

• Alverno scored the first points of the game and then did not score again for over a quarter
• Allison Michalski tied the game to open a 16-0 run completed on a jumper from Alex Fanning in the final minute
• Michalski scored six in the run with Fanning tallying five
• The hosts cut the deficit to seven midway through the second at 20-13 before Benedictine ended the half with a 15-1 spurt, taking a 35-14 lead into the half on two free throws from Britney Pitzer
• Benedictine went on to lead by 37 points in the fourth quarter as the entire roster had the opportunity to play

• Benedictine made at least six field goals in each quarter and shot 50 percent in the opening 10 minutes, finishing the game at 42.9 percent
