Madison, N.J. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams held the Farleigh Dickinson University-Florham Devils to 23.8 percent shooting from the field and forced 29 turnovers, returning from semester break with a 60-36 women's basketball victory this evening.  Trinity improves to 9-1 with its ninth win in a row, while the Devils drop to 2-8 with their third-consecutive setback.  Trinity will host Smith on Thursday at 6 p.m. in its next game, and the Devils are at Drew on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Trinity went on an early 6-0 run to start the contest, holding FDU scoreless through the first 4:30 of quarter one. The Devils responded with five straight points, bringing the game within one, 6-5 with 3:33 remaining. The Bantams scored the games next five points, to take an 11-5 lead at the end of the first quarter.  Quarter number two was another set of runs, as Trinity sophomore Katie Kirsch (Pelham, N.H.) scored four of the first six points the first six points to help the visitors take a 17-5 lead. The Devils fought back, going on a 10-0 run of their own and e Bantams led, 17-15, with 3:48 remaining in the quarter. Trinity had the response, scoring the final seven points of the second quarter, including five by rookie guard Bria Fuller (Springdale, Md.) to take a 24-15 advantage into the break.

The momentum in the third quarter belonged to Trinity, who outscored, 17-5, to lead, 41-20, heading into the final frame. The Bantams maintained at least a 20-point cushion throughout the fourth frame.  Fuller led all scorers with 11 points to go with four steals, while both Kirsch and sophomore guard Bailey Hyland (Broad Brook, Conn.) added 10 points apiece.  Bantam senior tri-captain Peace Kabari (Manchester, N.H.) contributed six points, a team-high eight rebounds, four assists, and six steals, while sophomore center Elizabeth Althoff (Staten Island, N.Y.) blocked three shots.
