Trinity Women's Basketball Sinks Sarah Lawrence

Hartford, Conn. – First-year guard Naia Saddler (Boyds, Md.) scored 11 points to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 68-28 victory over the visiting Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons in women's basketball action this evening at Oosting Gymnasium.  Trinity improves to 6-1, winning its sixth game in a row and closing out a seven-game, 10-day stretch.  Sarah Lawrence falls to 0-7.  Trinity scored the first five points of the game and led, 21-2, after the first quarter.  The Bantams outrebounded the Gryphons, 58-19, and held them to 20.4 percent field-goal shooting and 22.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc.  All 13 Trinity players got a rebound and 12 of 13 scored at least two points.

Saddler made three three-pointers to reach her career-high point total, while fellow rookies Bria Fuller (Springdale, Md.) and Frankie Silva (Auburndale, Mass.) added eight points apiece.  Trinity senior tri-captain Devan Walsh (Danvers, Mass.) pulled down a game-high nine rebounds, while first-year guard Madison Stevens (Burlington, Conn.) dished five assists.  Freshman guard Ana Srdanovic (New York, N.Y.) paced the Gryphons with 13 points and added five steals, while sophomore guard Camryn Davis (Moorpark, Calif.) added 11 points and six rebounds.
