LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team set a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference record by connecting on 21 three-pointers in a home win over visiting Rockford on Saturday afternoon.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine did not waste any time in erasing Friday night's loss at Wisconsin Lutheran, leading the whole way
• Casey Williams opened the scoring with a three-pointer
• Hanna Piro made a three to make the score 10-2 with 7:16 left in the opening quarter
• MaKayli Vann finished an 11-0 run with a three-pointer to make the score 23-6 at the 2:22 mark of the first
• Claire Gibler's three-pointer just before the end of the first extended the lead to 32-8
• Benedictine made 11 three-pointers in the first half and continued to pull away in the second half, opening a 65-20 lead early in the third
• Benedictine led by as many as 70 points in the game
• The 110 points scored were the most in a game this season
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine finished 21-for-36 from three-point range in the win, setting the conference record for threes in a game
• Nine different players connected on a triple in the win
• Benedictine shot 51.9 percent from the floor and held a 56-32 edge on the glass
• Five players hit double figures led by 22 from D'Asia Williams, who was 9-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc
• Gibler and Vann each scored 15 points with Vann also reeling in 11 rebounds
• Michalski notched 12 and Casey Williams picked up 10
