BABSON PARK, Mass.—Senior Payton Ouimette (Medfield, Mass.) led four players in double figures with 20 points and Babson College used a 29-6 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters to rally for an 85-77 win over UMass Dartmouth in the championship game of the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament on Monday afternoon inside Staake Gymnasium.

Babson, which extended its winning streak to seven games, improves to 9-2 overall, while UMass Dartmouth lost for the first time in four outings to slip to 9-2 on the year.

Ouimette added 10 boards for her seventh double-double of the year and junior Emily Bonifacic (Allendale, N.J.) finished with 19 points and nine rebounds for the Beavers. Junior Katherine Tamulionis and senior Téa Spellacy(Belchertown, Mass.) and (Foxboro, Mass.) both scored 18 points and contributed 16 and 14, respectively, after halftime. Spellacy also grabbed seven rebounds and junior Vanessa Onwe (Tarrytown, N.Y.) came off the bench to dish out a career-high five assists in the victory.

First-year Jordan Moretti (Johnston, R.I.) poured in a career-high 25 points to go along with six rebound and five steals to lead the Corsairs. Senior Nakira Examond (New Bedford, Mass.) contributed 16 points and five boards, and became the program's all-time leading scorer late in the second half.

Trailing 36-35 at the break, the Green and White opened the third quarter with a 6-0 run only to see UMass Dartmouth counter with a 16-6 burst to go back in front 52-47 after consecutive three-pointers by Moretti and junior Ashley Brown (New Bedford, Mass.) at the 3:42 mark. Bonifacic cut the Beavers' deficit back to three on possession later, but Moretti and junior Kayla McMahon (Hanover, Mass.) combined to score nine straight points as the Corsairs took their biggest lead of the afternoon at 61-49 with 1:56 to go in the period.

The Green and White closed the third with a 7-0 run and then scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter thanks to a hoop by Ouimette and back-to-back triples by Spellacy and Tamulionis to go in front 64-61 with 8:14 remaining in the contest. UMass Dartmouth senior Danyel Gonzalez (Pawtucket, R.I.) hit 1-of-2 free throws, but Ouimette scored inside again and Spellacy connected on another three-pointer to stretch the margin to 69-62 at the 6:50 mark.

The Corsairs got as close as six on a bucket by Examond with 5:57 left, but a 7-0 burst capped by Bonaficic's three-point play gave the Beavers' their biggest advantage of the game at 78-65 with just 2:59 to play.

The first half featured five ties and three lead changes with neither team leading by more than seven. Babson opened the game with a 9-2 run before the Corsairs closed the opening stanza with a 19-7 spurt. UMass Dartmouth took its biggest lead of the half at 36-29 on a three-point play by Examond with 3:39 to go in the second quarter before the Green and White got three points apiece from Bonifacic and sophomore Katie Jones (Ridgewood, N.J.) to pull within one going to the locker room.

The Beavers shot 43.1 percent from the floor, went 25-of-28 (89.3 percent) at the free throw line, and finished with a 43-39 edge on the glass. The Corsairs shot 40.8 percent and scored 25 points off of turnovers.

Babson returns to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when it travels to Clark, while UMass Dartmouth visits Regis on Thursday at 6 p.m.

• The Beavers are 3-4 all-time against UMass Boston.
• Bonifacic and Ouimette of Babson were joined on the all-tournament team by Moretti of UMass Dartmouth and Katie Frederick of St. Lawrence. Spellacy was selected as the Judy Pearson '85 award winner.
• Babson's seven-game winning streak is its longest since the 2016-17 team rattled off eight straight victories between November 27-December 29. Ironically, that winning streak came to an end with a 70-62 loss to the Corsairs.
• Monday's victory was the first for the Beavers when trailing after three quarters since rallying for a 61-59 OT win over Emory & Henry on December 20, 2016.
