Cerrato named to All-CCC Third Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Nichols College senior forward Allison Cerrato was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Basketball All-CCC Third Team, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Cerrato saved her best season for last as she averaged a career-best 11.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 29.8 minutes per game. The senior shot 45.5% (102-of-224) from the field on the year, finishing fourth in the league in that category, while her 11.3 points per game ranked 10th in the league. She becomes the first All-CCC selection for the Bison since Amber Litwinko '16 earned Second-Team honors in 2016.
 
Cerrato registered 14 games with 10+ points, including back-to-back 20-point games against Wentworth and Eastern Nazarene in January. She registered a pair of double-doubles this year, and had 12 games with 5+ rebounds. She posted a career-high five steals against Salve Regina on January 11 and handed out a career-best seven assists against Eastern Nazarene on February 13.
 
The senior appeared in 97 career games for the Bison, making 85 starts, and has averaged 7.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and nearly one steal per game in 2,485 career minutes. Her 97 games played are the 10th most in program history, with her 42.1% field goal percentage is the ninth best mark at Nichols.
 
This season the Bison posted a 4-21 mark, the first under head coach MaryLynn Skarzenski '09, and were the most wins in a season since the 2014-15 season.
