ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY (February 15, 2017) — The Vassar College women's basketball team (12-12, 9-6 Liberty) cruised by Bard College (0-24, 0-15) on the road Wednesday, 75-45.

When these two teams met earlier in Poughkeepsie, the Brewers broke program records for points in a game, field goals in a game, assists in a game and rebounds in a game. This time around, Vassar showcased a similar dominance.

Jackie Cenan led the Brewers with a career-high 14 points, while Ariella RosenthalSamarah Cook and Maddie Leonge each added 10. Rosenthal also grabbed a game-best seven boards, as Vassar out-rebounded Bard 49-32.

The Brewers shot 46 percent from the floor, 25 percent from distance and 77 percent from the line, while holding the home team to a 30/27/75 split. 

Annie Kissel led the Raptors with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Andra Moye added 11 points and three boards.

VC took off after a first quarter that featured one tie and two lead changes. The Brewers outscored the home team 19-4 in the second stanza to separate themselves. Samarah Cooksparked the offense with a triple, while Rosenthal fueled it with three field goals over a two-minute span. 

After leading 39-20 at the break, the Brewers pushed their lead to as many as 24 in the third period, holding their opponents to just two field goals over the first 8:41. The Raptors hit back-to-back jumpers for the first time since the opening period, but Isa Peczuh responded with a jumper of her own to give VC a 57-35 advantage going into the final frame. 

Cenan and Leonge combined to score 10 of the Brewers' 18 points of the fourth quarter, as they held on for their third win in four games. 

Vassar returns to Poughkeepsie for the final game of the regular season, welcoming Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to the Athletics & Fitness Center on Friday, Feb. 17. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
