MADISON, N.J. (Jan. 18, 2017) – The Drew University women's basketball team prevailed over Elizabethtown College, 58-56, in a last-second thriller on Wednesday evening in Baldwin Gymnasium.

By the Numbers: Drew improves to 7-8 overall with a 3-2 mark in Landmark Conference play. Elizabethtown drops to 11-4 on the season with a 1-4 league record. The Rangers now have two straight Landmark Conference victories and are winners of four of their last five overall.

Top Performers
• Senior guard Hannah Miller had another high-scoring contest putting up 18 points, including three 3-point field goals.
• Senior guard Courtney Trzasko had nine points off a 3-of-5 mark from beyond the arc.
• Junior point guard Michaela Keegan had 10 points, two assists and two steals.

Turning Point: The Rangers came out of the locker room with intense energy to start the second half on a 12-0 run with the help of two Lane three-point field goals and intense defensive pressure, recording several steals to stall the E-Town offense.

Later, the Blue Jays would cut the Drew lead to 54-50 with 2:40 to play. Elizabethtown senior center Emily Martin – the league's second highest scorer – drove toward the hoop attempting to make it a two-point game, but had her shot blocked by a streaking Keegan. The counterattack ended up in the hands of senior forward Sam Lane, who dished to Miller for the fast break lay-in and the crucial 56-50 lead.
